Australian Masters Games, Geelong

Super Series Training Day - Round 2 - CANCELLED
Due to the lack of entries for Round 2 on 7th
September, probably due to this date being Father's
Day, it has been decided to cancel this round.
Those people who have already entered will be
refunded/returned. Further enquiries should be
directed to Val Dominy on

The next
round will still be held on 2nd November 2008 and
entry forms are now available on the website.
10:00am start each day
VENUE–
Equestrian Park Aldinga.
THE
PROGRAM – will consist
of individual coaching by advanced/FEI riders or
coaches to assist the competitor in particular, with
warming-up, ring-craft and accuracy. Times will be
allocated similar to a draw – each rider receiving
20 minutes of coaching immediately before riding the
test of their choice from those listed below.
They will then be marked by an
Official Judge. Ribbons will be awarded.
Two arenas will be for
instruction only and the third for tests – we
envisage approximately 6 tests per hour.
TESTS
- Prep 3, Prelim 1.3,
Novice 2.3, Elementary 3.3, Medium 4.3, Advanced 5.3
COST
– SVDC Members -
$35.00 first Test, $25.00 second test, Non members - $45.00
first test, $25.00 second test.
A light lunch is included in the
above charge. Drinks may be purchased or BYO wine.
Stay and enjoy the social
interaction and the discussions which will no doubt
be generated.
Riders
entering the first training day will have preference
over others for the following dates.

Protocols Clinic on Monday 3rd November (day after
Classic Championships) with Maria Schwennesen and Sue
Bright
Southern Vales Dressage
Club is delighted to announce that our two “A” Level
Judges from Queensland, officiating at our Classic
Championships on the 1st and 2nd
November, have kindly agreed to stay an extra day to
work with you and your horse on your current concerns.
Our Protocols Clinic is open to all riders (even if you
did not compete at the Championships) and you may elect
to work on any test from any venue. This is a
fantastic opportunity and limited spots will fill fast so please
get your booking form in as soon as possible. The
booking form is available for download under our "forms"
page.
Dress:
Neat and tidy. SVDC colours of navy and white
preferred. No plaits. Refreshments will be
avaialble.

Official Championships
The
entry forms for our Official Championships in November
are now available to download online. The club has
secured two A level interstate judges - Maria
Schwennesen and Sue Bright.
The full
Championships program will be available on the website
at a later date and members will receive a mail-out.

Kerry Kirchner Dressage Clinic
This clinic is now full but if you would like to be
put on a stand-by list in case of scratching, please

Grounds Open Days
Weather permitting, the grounds will be open
between 10am and 1pm on the Saturday of the weekend
immediately preceding each competition. You
must be a current member of
SVDC to use the grounds.

12th Australian Masters Games
Registrations are now open for Australia’s largest multisport
festival coming to Geelong,
from 20 February – 1 March 2009. Why not participate
in one of 70 different sports with your friends and
family and enjoy a summer holiday? The 12th
Australian Masters Games is a ten day sports and
entertainment festival open to people over the age
of 30, regardless of sporting background or ability.
Held biennially, the Games are run by the
Confederation of Australian Sport (CAS), the peak
body for sport in Australia.
Geelong
will come alive with over 10,000 people from Australia and overseas participating
in 70 sports across 80 different venues in the
Geelong
region. Whether you are a regular athlete, gym
junkie, seasonal recreational enthusiast, on the
come- back trail or just want to experience some
Serious Summer Fun, the Games have something for
you. From bocce to baseball; bowls to surfing;
soccer to netball. While the competition is
important, one of the key attractions of the Games
is the social interaction and spirit of camaraderie
experienced by the participants.
